Sawing for top grade lumber and plywood veneers for custom wood furniture is a small yet demanding part of the timber industry. Top grade lumber requires careful handling and storage every step of the cutting and drying process to ensure that it stays wood that is worth working with.

At Pittsford Lumber we serve a clientele who understand the critical moisture content and storage requirements that lumber for furniture and millwork require. The time and labor that goes into custom furniture and woodwork is often many times greater than the cost of materials; spending wisely on dependable material makes good economic sense.You can be certain that when you buy your wood from us it is dry and ready to use in the demanding climate conditions of the northeast.

We stock over fifty species of kiln dried, FAS grade, domestic and imported lumber. There are large variations in grades and species of lumber and we focus only on the top grades.  Our lumber is carefully stored in our heated building in bins that you are welcome to sort through. We also have a dozen species of hardwood plywoods, in many different thicknesses, all chosen for the highest available grade veneers. Many of our exotics are not on these lists; call if you are looking for something you don't see.
